Every review states how we know what we know: personally tested, purchased independently, gifted, borrowed, or research-based — and drawbacks stay on the page.
The reviews hub is where individual product write-ups live once they are published. We do not invent hands-on stories, measurements, or ratings. If a review is research-based, that label is visible. If something was gifted or borrowed, we say so. Live scraped prices are never displayed without an approved API.

It means we did not personally use the product for that write-up. We relied on manufacturer information, public listings, and clearly cited research notes — and we will not upgrade that label to “personally tested” without actual use.
We do not invent aggregate scores or reader polls. Individual reviews may include an editor rating only when we have a real basis for it; otherwise we leave ratings unpublished.
